Monday 19th July 2010 7:30pm - Introduction to Table Top Photography |

Kevin Pack will be running a this month's meet about table top photography.
He will be covering the following:-
1) Introduction to table top photography
2) Kit - both commercial and from raiding the cupboards
3) Benefits of using both tethered shooting (hopefully both wired and wireless) and live view
4) The three main types of small product photography (high key, low key and in-situ)
5) Lighting and reflections
He is going to have a few different setups for people to try their hand at, so please bring your camera along. A regular lens is fine for most purposes, but a macro lens may be beneficial.

Craft Taster Workshops @ Broadstone Mill |

 Fancy trying a new craft?
Like playing with paint, paper, fabric, beads? Need a good excuse? Broadstone Mill are hosting a series of summer craft taster workshops. The first one is Tuesday July 6th where C3's Lou Davis will be leading a cardmaking and papercrafts day. Each session will be on Tuesday from 10:30am to 3:00pm, they're going to be very relaxed and informal days but we would like to know if you're able to join us by the Monday before. Each session will reqiure a small contribution to the leader to cover the cost of materials. Please bring a few pounds with you to pay for the things you use. Lunch can be obtained from the onsite cafe or nearby shops but you might want to bring a packed lunch with you. For more details or to register contact Catherine at

Doing it Differently - Goyt Valley Walk |

Come for a walk around the beautiful Goyt Valley on Sunday 30th May. We'll be meeting at The Street Car Park on the north eastern side of Errwood Reservoir at 12:00pm for an easy, fairly level walk of around 4.5 miles. Remember to bring a picnic lunch with you. As usual on a 'doing it differently' sunday, we will not be meeting at Nangreave Road. |

Saturday 19th June - Third annual 120:20 Vision Challenge - Chester |

This year's 120:20 Vision Challenge. Different location same challenge. Meet in Chester under the Eastgate Clock at 1.45pm for a 2.00pm start. You have 2 hours (120 minutes) to take exactly 20 photographs of the location. No more, no less, no retakes! You cannot delete any and you must show all 20 photos on flickr!  C3 is about to celebrate the best music in the world ever (accordng to us) and will be spending six weeks looking at the place of music in the bible and sharing with each other some of our favourite tracks.
If you'd like to pop along at some point, bring a favourite cd or mp3 with you so you can join in and share your musical passion with us. We'll be talking all things musical on Sundays 18th April, 25th April, 2nd May, 9th May, 16th May and 23rd May all at 10:30am followed by lunch together at 12:20pm.
