Join us on Sunday 11 April for "Sunday in the City", spending time in the Spinningfield area of Manchester city centre. It's a part of town that people might not visit unless they work there, but it's got some stunning modern buildings, pedestrianized open spaces to wander, a variety of places to eat, drink and people-watch, as well as the recently refurbished People's History Museum. http://www.phm.org.uk/ Not far is that old favourite the Museum of Science and Industry (currently hosting an exhibition about Leonardo da Vinci's weird inventions). http://www.mosi.org.uk/ The plan is to meet up at 12 noon at the cafe of the People's History Museum (junction of Bridge Street and Gartside Street), and see where people want to go from there. Lunch will either be at that cafe, or whatever other eatery people want to move on to.
