Tuesday Taster Workshops at Broadstone Mill

Every tuesday throughout the summer we'll be having a selection of Arts and Crafts workshops. There's a variety of crafts on offer and each workshop is priced appropriately. Kevin Pack will be running a this month's meet about table top photography.
He will be covering the following:-

    1) Introduction to table top photography
    2) Kit - both commercial and from raiding the cupboards
    3) Benefits of using both tethered shooting (hopefully both wired and wireless) and live view
    4) The three main types of small product photography (high key, low key and in-situ)
    5) Lighting and reflections

He is going to have a few different setups for people to try their hand at, so please bring your camera along. A regular lens is fine for most purposes, but a macro lens may be beneficial.

Fancy trying a new craft?

Like playing with paint, paper, fabric, beads? Need a good excuse?

Broadstone Mill are hosting a series of summer craft taster workshops. The first one is Tuesday July 6th where C3's Lou Davis will be leading a cardmaking and papercrafts day.

Each session will be on Tuesday from 10:30am to 3:00pm, they're going to be very relaxed and informal days but we would like to know if you're able to join us by the Monday before.

Each session will reqiure a small contribution to the leader to cover the cost of materials. Please bring a few pounds with you to pay for the things you use.

Lunch can be obtained from the onsite cafe or nearby shops but you might want to bring a packed lunch with you.

This year's 120:20 Vision Challenge. Different location same challenge.

Meet in Chester under the Eastgate Clock at 1.45pm for a 2.00pm start.

You have 2 hours (120 minutes) to take exactly 20 photographs of the location. No more, no less, no retakes! You cannot delete any and you must show all 20 photos on flickr! It is not as easy as it sounds and it certainly makes you think about each and every shot you take.
